Our Vision

“Rarely do we find [those] who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think...The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our Philosophy

We believe the goal of education is to learn the skills necessary to make purposeful, empathetic, educated decisions in life.

The process of education should be a curiosity-driven exploration that allows students to be creative leaders of their learning who know their actions can have an impact.

Students need opportunities to apply skills to real-world problems

Inquirers need to have relatable material with relevant global connections

Learners need the skills to reflect on how their observations, experiments, and actions lead to learning

Learners’ current abilities and their goals are to be respected and cultivated. Our program uses a multi-age approach inspired from the Montessori model. This allows students to grow from learner to leader across grade-level goals. Students have a voice in their learning. We nurture that voice, improving their creative communication, so their voices can be recognized within our global discourse.
